Her leadership ensures that KTA programs promote inclusivity, gender empowerment, and environmental stewardship, reinforcing Kenya’s global tourism identity.

Barry Clemens is a distinguished leader in the hospitality and tourism industry, renowned for his dedication to excellence, innovation, and youth empowerment. He provides strategic guidance on hospitality standards, service quality, and innovation. With decades of experience managing world-class hospitality operations, Barry brings expertise in destination marketing, mentorship, and sustainable tourism development, making him a key voice in shaping the future of Africa’s hospitality landscape.

Hon. Naomi Ngatia serves as a nominated Member of the County Assembly of Nyandarua and is Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Legal Affairs, Labour, and Intergovernmental Relations and Coordination. She also participates in committees on Public Accounts and Investments, Lands, Physical Planning, Urban Development, and Tourism, Cooperatives, Trade, and Industrialization. Her expertise in legislative processes, policy formulation, and public administration strengthens the KTA Advisory Board by aligning its initiatives with national development goals, governance frameworks, and tourism industry standards.

Dr. Enock Makanga is a distinguished tourism trainer and corporate leadership consultant with over three decades of experience in hospitality, tourism, and organizational development. He is the Founder and Group Managing Director of <strong>Impact Hospitality and Tourism Institute</strong>, where he has trained and mentored professionals across Africa in leadership, service excellence, and industry standards. On the KTA Advisory Board, Dr. Makanga provides expertise in tourism education, workforce capacity development, and institutional growth, strengthening KTA’s mission of promoting excellence within Kenya’s tourism and hospitality sector.

Fidelis Okaroni is a seasoned communication strategist specializing in media relations, brand storytelling, and digital marketing. He contributes to KTA’s communication strategy, audience engagement, and creative storytelling initiatives. Fidelis plays a crucial role in enhancing the Awards’ media visibility and brand positioning, using his innovative approach and industry networks to elevate the Kenya Tourism Awards locally and internationally.

Colleen C. Rotich is a serial entrepreneur and global change advocate focused on social impact and economic empowerment. She is Founder of <strong>Medlutek International College of Health Sciences</strong> and President of the Medlutek Foundation. On the KTA Advisory Board, Colleen provides expertise in entrepreneurship, women and youth empowerment, and community development, ensuring that KTA initiatives foster inclusivity and sustainable progress within the tourism ecosystem.

Nilpa Shah is a travel blogger and advocate for inclusive, experiential, and family-centered tourism. On the KTA Advisory Board, she contributes insights on family travel, destination storytelling, and accessible tourism design. Her expertise supports KTA’s mission to position Kenya as a welcoming destination for all travelers and shapes programs that celebrate meaningful, responsible, and culturally enriching travel experiences across the country.

Alex Chamwada is the founder and CEO of <strong>Chams Media Ltd</strong>, a Nairobi-based communications consultancy. He is the creator of the award-winning shows <strong>Daring Abroad</strong> and <strong>The Chamwada Report</strong>, which highlight Kenyans abroad and key development issues, contributing to diaspora engagement, domestic tourism, and international arrivals. An influential journalist and media innovator, Alex has received numerous awards, including <strong>OGW</strong>, <strong>MBS</strong>, Media Council of Kenya Excellence Awards, and the <strong>Independent Journalism Trail Blazer Award (2023)</strong>. He was also the <strong>winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Kenya Tourism Awards 2024</strong>. His expertise in media and brand storytelling provides invaluable guidance to the inaugural Advisory Board and strengthens Kenya’s global tourism narrative.

Sudhir Shah is the Director and Founder of Clique Limited, a leading hospitality supplier with 35 years of industry leadership. He is an active member of Skål Kenya, having served as Treasurer for both Skål Nairobi and Skål Kenya National, and currently serves as the 2nd Vice President of Skål Kenya National. Sudhir is also involved in community development through the Visa Oshwal Community and the Oshwal Education and Relief Board. He brings strong experience in governance, mentorship and industry collaboration to the Kenya Tourism Awards Advisory Board.

Wendy Lorenze is the General Manager of EatOut Kenya and a distinguished leader in hospitality and technology. With experience in digital transformation, strategic partnerships and industry innovation, she has played a key role in strengthening Kenya’s restaurant and tourism ecosystem. Previously the Country Director of Booknbook Kenya, Wendy led market growth and the adoption of modern reservation and guest experience systems. She brings to the KTA Advisory Board a strong focus on collaboration, digital advancement and elevating Kenya’s culinary and hospitality excellence.
