KENYA TOURISM AWARDS (KTA)

The Kenya Tourism Awards (KTA) organized by Duke Hub Group was established to celebrate and recognize excellence within Kenya’s tourism and hospitality industry. This award honors individuals, organizations and businesses that have made remarkable contributions to the growth, development and promotion of tourism in Kenya.

The inaugural edition, Kenya Tourism Awards 2024, culminated in a grand gala on February 7th, 2025, at the Villa Rosa Kempinski. Since then, KTA has set the standard for quality, innovation, and professionalism across the sector.

Spanning a wide range of categories including accommodation providers, tour operators, digital influencers, and community based tourism initiatives, KTA reflects the diverse and dynamic nature of Kenya’s tourism landscape. By recognizing excellence in service delivery, product innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, the awards inspire continued innovation and healthy competition that drives the industry forward.

Allan Ndekwe is the CEO of the Kenya Tourism Awards (KTA), where he leverages knowledge in public relations and corporate communications to champion excellence in Kenya’s tourism sector. He is instrumental in driving the KTA's mission to recognize and celebrate innovation and impact within Kenya's Tourism industry. Previously serving as the Head of Operations at Luminar Safaris, Allan brings valuable experience in tourism management and operational leadership. He is also the CEO of Duke Hub Group and a member of the Advisory Board of the Vacation Cribs Association of Kenya (VACAK) , further solidifying his commitment to advancing Kenya's tourism and hospitality landscape. Under his guidance, the Kenya Tourism Awards continues to inspire collaboration, excellence sustainability and innovation, positioning Kenya as a leading global destination.

Public Sector Liaison
Hon. Naomi Ngatia is a nominated member of the county assembly of Nyandarua, where she serves as the vice chairperson of the committee on legal affairs, labour, and intergovernmental relations and coordination. Additionally, she contributes to several key committees, including county public accounts and investments, lands, physical planning and urban development, and tourism, cooperatives development, trade, and industrialization. With her extensive experience and deep understanding of legislative processes and local governance, hon. Ngatia brings a wealth of knowledge to her role on the Kenya tourism awards team. Her significant network and expertise in legal and administrative affairs, combined with her involvement in tourism and trade-related committees, will be invaluable in shaping the direction and success of the inaugural Kenya tourism awards. Her role will include advising on strategic initiatives, ensuring the alignment of the awards with industry standards and leveraging her connections to enhance the awards' impact and visibility.

Vivian excels in crafting compelling narratives, fostering strong media relations and securing high-profile coverage to position the Kenya Tourism Awards as a premium brand in Kenya's tourism industry. Her ability to strategically manage communications ensures the Awards maintain a strong and reputable presence in both traditional and digital media spaces. ENTRY

General Rules, Regulations & Process

  • KENYA TOURISM AWARDS reserves the right to cancel any entry without any intimation/information.
  • If a participant wishes to withdraw its application from the awards, the participant should inform KENYA TOURISM AWARDS latest by 5 days post the last date for submission of application.
  • Participants agrees that by submitting the application for awards, they are legally capable of entering and shall abide by the rules and regulations.
  • Participants should understand that just by applying for these awards doesn’t entitle them to win any prize or other form of recognition.
  • The decision given by the KENYA TOURISM AWARDS or the Jury shall be treated as final and all the participants shall abide by it at all the times.
  • By applying in the award, the applicant agrees that in case of being selected as finalist for Kenya Tourism Awards, a company representative of appropriatee designation preferably not less than a Senior Management Official / Director will attend the award ceremony on the designated place and date.
  • Participants are encouraged to enter the category that best reflects their core business. They can enter more than one category; however, a separate and complete nomination and submission must be submitted for each category.
  • Achievements or activities judged for their entry must fall within the qualifying period.
  • An entrant, such as a chain or franchise that has multiple products, must enter each product individually if they want each business to be able to promote the achievement of winning a tourism award.
  • An entry cannot be moved into another category after the closing date for submissions.
  • If at any time after submission of an entry the business being put forward goes into administration, voluntary receivership, liquidation or bankruptcy, the entrant accepts that the submission will no longer be eligible for an award.
